Dan Epstein

Dan Epstein (he/him) is a fourth year Ph.D. student in Clinical Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. His research focuses on trauma, self-stigma, and compassion, and prior to coming to Gatewell, he worked at the Center for Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy. Dan gravitates toward CBT, ACT, and DBT as interventions and is skilled in working with adults and adolescents who have OCD, OCPD, depression, anxiety, executive function deficits, and relationship and life stage difficulties. He is committed to ongoing learning and is passionate about offering personalized care, guided by a client's goals and values. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the coffee shops of New York City, playing D&D, and watching college basketball. At Gatewell, Dan works with clients in person in NYC and virtually throughout New York State.
